When the FBI wants to push an agent back under deep cover he will do something publicly that discredits his character like beating his wife/girlfriend or committing an act of drunken debauchery. It serves three purposes: sends him to jail so he can be disappeared, disassociates himself from family and friends who would look for him and discredits his original behavior in a court’s eyes. Some go so far as to act insane. Please don’t be fooled. Watch where they go if you can.
