In ferrets, coronal viral infections can manifest as respiratory infections or GI infections. PU tried to isolate it. We were told there would be no vaccines because all affected animals would be dead in ten years. Not true. Infections stopped when the lab stopped sending out carrier* babies. Some suspect this was a dry run for viruses they were considering for the future or studying as a mini pandemic. *carriers are asymptomatic but infected animals.
