Young Fathers should consider this checklist of abilities and skills. 1. Should be able to swim at least a mile and not feel panicky underwater. Should also possess the skills to revive less skilled swimmers. 2. Proficient driver in all types of vehicles and equipment. And not be helpless when it breaks down. Such as change flat tires, and diagnose basic mechanical issues. 3. Should know how to clean and load long rifles and handguns. 4. Self defense, the ability to defend himself and others when in a scrape. Old style boxing will do. The list is pretty long but I feel every young man should be proficient and well-rounded human ready for life, and eventually marriage along with the protection and raising of children.
