There have been multiple booms/explosion-sounding explosions in NOLA since the other night. The first was much larger than the others but they’re still happening, as recently as 10 minutes ago. Shook my whole house again. No explanation. What is happening?! #neworleans #explosion #boom

Definitely heard and felt the mysterious #boom tonight in New Orleans. No flashes that I saw but my house got quite the shaking. I’m centrally located downtown and friends 20 miles out in the burbs also experienced it. No clue. Scared the crap out of me. #neworleans #explosion

So, New Orleans re-elects Mayor Cantrell who is of the “greatest threat to America is ‘white supremacy’” ilk. Newly-elected sheriff campaigned on tag and release, elimination of cash bail even for violent offenders. Proof of vaccination required for bars & restaurants under the guise of public safety. Meanwhile, NOLA is at 50+ reported carjackings since January 1, theft/robbery is skyrocketing, and people are being murdered in broad daylight in front of their children.
