This fire situation in LA is, at a humanitarian level, a real gut-punch.

But in a way, and absolutely no pun intended, this may well turn out to be a watershed moment for California. This will force the devastating reality of years of failed leadership and horrible, life-destroying decision-making to be reckoned with, up close and personal.

I pray this failed series of social, economic and environmental experiments in results in a reset back to actual governance, rooted in common sense.

Can you imagine the pendulum finally swinging back? Would it be too much and too soon to foresee the Golden State become a red state, once again...?
