It's important to understand the right wing trends in American politics because America ALWAYS defers to the right wing Republicans in matters of war. First off the neocon/neoliberal worldview is held by at least 80 percent of all American politicians regardless of party affiliation. This view is exemplified by Lindsay Graham or Hillary Clinton and views it as America's right to wage war and regime change on any state that is in the way of full spectrum dominance. This is the leading thought school that shapes our foreign policy. Biden appears to be less of a neocon than most which has prevented immediate escalation. His instincts are confused though and he will defer 1/2..
