For too long, our veterans have been denied proper care for toxic exposures because of toxic Washington policy. The brave men and women of the US military were exposed to burn pits used in the disposal of waste in the Middle East. The toxic chemicals that emanate from this process cause grave damage to human health. Toxic burn pits are this generation’s Agent Orange. Military veterans dedicate their lives to serving America, often at the expense of their health. Providing veterans with the compensation and help they need to heal from toxic exposure is why I voted yes for honoring dangerous and selfless military service with HR 3967.
