If this is really happening then great, & it’s 5.5 years overdue. As UKIP’s Brexit Sookesman I said we should leave immediately by means of unilateral & unconditional withdrawal. All derived legislation would remain in place, BUT a parliamentary commission would prioritise the repeal of the thousands of laws as speedily as possible. We might decide to keep some laws for continued interaction with the EU, BUT it would be under our control. That didn’t happen because the post Referendum government under Mrs May had no intention of actually implementing the result. I have no faith whatsoever in Boris but I hope it is a step in the right direction at last.
