During the 2012 election, the now late Harry Reid falsely claimed that Republican candidate Mitt Romney did not pay income tax over the past decade. He made the false statement from Senate floor so he could not be sued. When a reporter much later asked why he still supported the false claim, Reid replied "Romney didn't win, did he?" That is how Dems play politics so don't forget it. The truth does not matter if you win.
