Military expert Alexander Zimovsky": This is Kursk literally yesterday or the day before yesterday. The city lives in the rhythm of the passing summer. No one there sets up anti-tank hedgehogs, and trams are not knocked over to make barricades. There is no military equipment or armed soldiers in the streets either. This does not look like a frontline city. To me, this is the best assessment of the situation and the mood in society after the breakthrough of the Ukrainian Armed Forces into our territory. And it must certainly be noted that the modern Russian civil defense system, together with the Ministry of Emergency Situations and local provincial administrations, has proven its effectiveness.
