Stoltenberg: “Two-thirds of European defense spending goes to new orders from the United States, amounting to $140 billion over the past 2 years. Since the Russian invasion, NATO has provided Ukraine with an unprecedented level of support. This allows the Ukrainians to fight back. We cannot allow this to happen again I propose to introduce financial obligations for allies. The stronger our long-term support, the more difficult it will be for the enemy to “wait out” us. We must make sure that Putin's aggression in Ukraine does not bring results. We will continue to bring Ukraine closer to NATO membership so that it can become a member when the time comes."
